Post Script: Weekend Market at Mandala Park
September 30, 2015
Liberty Center in Mandaluyong has been around for a while, but now it is being relaunched by the Litton Legacy as a new development called Mandala Park. The space is a 3.3 hectare mixed-use property that will blossom into a center of harmony: a place for those seeking to live an elevated way of life. Mandala Park is poised to stand as an eco-friendly community that brings sustainable living for everyone to embrace, adhering to Mandaluyong’s Green Building Ordinance.
Last September 19, a weekend market curated by JJ Yulo and featuring Basti Artardi was held at Mandala Park. The place got jam-packed as soon as Basti Artadi started playing jazzified songs with his band.
Art appreciation in the middle of a busy city; why not? I mean, come on. Live music, arts and food; what more can you ask for?
Mandala Park is a place for the whole family indeed; and a weekend market isn’t a weekend market without the good food! We scoped out some of these lovely food shops for you, too.
Scout's Honor gourmet cookies are to die for. I'm definitely not sorry that I indulged. How can you eat just one? Life is short; eat dessert first! There were also ice cream, fruit juices and soy drink options in different stands, but these cookies were babies that just stood out.
A weekend market without a burger stand? Nope, that doesn’t exist. The Burger Project is the answer to all you burger cravings; you can personalize your own meaty goodness. There were also Korean and Japanese food stands present to round out the main course choices, as well as a Ribs Manila stall.
It was a weekend filled with fun, good food, and good music. Go visit Mandala Park soon! The place is located at 312 Shaw Boulevard, Barangay Pleasant Hills in Mandaluyong.
